Personal Care and Beauty Products in the HCG diet
The use of lipstick, powders and lotions that are totally oil-free are allowed. They also allow fixative to be used on the hair, but should not be rubbed on the scalp. Obviously, the suntan oil is prohibited.
Aspirin and contraceptives are allowed in the Simeons HCG Diet.
No type of massage is allowed. You can do low impact exercise, such as walking for 30 minutes. Do not try too hard. Be active, not sedentary.
You should always weigh yourself on the same scale and in the same conditions as when you first weigh yourself, although you prefer it to be in the morning when you wake up. Some days you may lose large amounts of weight and others may lose a small amount. This is a good indicator to assess how disciplined you have been to follow the HCG diet guidelines.
As mentioned in the Manuscript of Dr. Simeóns, if a stalemate is reached, you can consider the possibility of an apple day. Please be sure to increase the amount of water you drink. We suggest you to keep a daily check on your progress. Keep a diary of food consumed. Take pictures before (include the front, side and rear shots). Take your measurements so that you can see how many inches you have lost in your arms, legs, neck, abdomen and hips. You will feel the difference in the way your clothes fit.
HCG Diet Phase 3
Phase 3 is the most important phase in HCG Diet when it comes to maintaining lost weight. The purpose of Phase 3 is to restore your metabolism to help you continue to burn calories at a higher level. Once you reach the end of Phase 2 (either day 22 or day 41) you will stop applying the injections. However, you will continue to consume only 500 calories a day for 3 more days. This will give your body time to metabolize the HCG. After the third day without the injections, you can increase your calorie intake. You will notice in those days that you are not hungry anymore.
According to the manuscript of Dr. Simeóns, you can eat as much as you like. Stay away from starches and sugars. Simple sugars will confuse your metabolism. Keep eating lots of protein, and healthy fruits and vegetables. Gradually integrate healthy fats, such as avocados, healthy oils such as olive oil or grape seed oil (please use sparingly). Take care of your weight. As you weigh yourself daily, if you notice that you have gained more than1 Kg. skip meat one day. Measure the consumption of carbohydrates. Increase your exercise regimen.
